Dr. Sandra Risoldi DNP, MSN Ed., A-APRN, PMHNP-BC Founder
Our Aim is to bring Awareness, Educate, Empower, and Eliminate Violence in Healthcare. When Nursing Organizations obtain Hospital Corporation funding, they need to be careful about how vocal they are. We are the "boots on ground" Nursing Organization that is Not Afraid to talk about the issues and help our profession through these tough times. With Your Help, you can help us change the face of healthcare, one step at a time
Nurses Against Violence is about the nurse or healthcare professional that feels left behind by their profession and healthcare system. It is a mindset and movement to create healthy work environments, provide support/solidarity, and tell healthcare workers that violence in the workplace is not okay or a "part of the job", that violence can be prevented and we can stop it, one person at a time, creating a Revolution in Healthcare!
Dr. Sandra Risoldi DNP, MSN Ed., A-APRN, PMHNP-BC founded Nurses Against Violence on October 9, 2017, originally a 501 c(3) education nonprofit with the philosophy and mission to bring frontline healthcare workers together, promote awareness to a growing problem, provide education in an effort to prevent mental/physical abuse, and facilitate empowerment to eliminate violence in healthcare.
At the beginning of 2026, after 8 years as a nonprofit, Dr. Risoldi dissolved Nurses Against Violence Unite, Inc. and founded Nurses Against Violence LLC to gain greater freedom and flexibility while maintaining the same tenets. The aim is to promote mental wellness, support all healthcare workers - with a nursing focus, promote our violence prevention training, and assist nursing facilities/educational settings to understand and accept the fundamentals of violence prevention on every level, ultimately decreasing mental and physical injuries.
"It is paramount that we work to unite our professions and Change the Face of Healthcare."
~Dr. Sandy
